T1200S is listed at 768Wh, 1200W continuous AC output, 2400W peak, pure sine wave and 12.45kg. Those are planning limits—not a promise that every powered speaker will start cleanly or run for a fixed number of hours.

Build a load sheet before choosing a battery

Add the devices that can operate at the same time. The total must stay within the station’s continuous output and each socket/cable limit. Treat the 2400W peak as brief headroom, not a second continuous rating.

The STAGE method

S — Simultaneous watts

Use nameplates and measurements, not a generic “small PA” label. Two speakers, a mixer, laptop chargers and lighting share the same energy plan. A system can fit the output limit yet still use too much energy for the event duration.

T — Test the full setup

1. Inspect the station, leads and connectors.
2. Connect the exact event equipment in the intended order.
3. Run a representative rehearsal, including speaker startup and the loudest planned programme section.
4. Log starting and ending percentage, displayed watts, duration, temperature and any error.
5. Repeat after correcting only one variable at a time if the first setup does not pass.

This creates evidence for one setup. It does not certify other speakers, a different volume level or a longer event.

A — Access and cable control

HSE event guidance asks organisers to consider power, layout, environmental conditions, sound/lighting, public access and cables. Put the 12.45kg station on a stable surface where the operator can reach it but guests cannot touch plugs or controls. Keep routes out of exits and queues.

G — Guard against weather and lead faults

Do not assume the T1200S is weatherproof. Keep the unit and every connection dry. Electrical Safety First advises fully unwinding cable reels, avoiding daisy-chained extension leads and stopping use when plugs or sockets are damaged, scorched or unusually hot.

E — Exit plan and reserve

Keep energy and output headroom. Decide which non-essential light or charger is removed first. Emergency lighting, medical devices, fire/evacuation systems and other safety-critical loads need a separately approved plan; a consumer power station should not be their only dependency.
